Protest in Muzaffarabad against vote rigging in Gilgit Baltistan

Kashmir National Party, Lawyers Forum, NSF and BNF protested in Muzaffrabad against vote rigging and death of 18-year old Zubair who was killed by police firing in Sher Qilla in Gilgit Baltistan

There were widespread protests in some parts of Ghizer district against the vote rigging and heavy handed approach of authorities. The protestors demanded re election in LA 19 constituency of Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly.

The people of Pakistani Administered Kashmir are holding meetings and demonstrations in support of their brothers in Gilgit Baltistan.

BNF leader Nawaz Khan Naji accused police for the death of the young student and demanded impartial and immediate investigation to arrest the culprits.

The protestors in Muzaffarabad said it is their duty to expose Pakistani oppression and imperialist designs in Gilgit Baltistan and Pakistani Administered Kashmir. KNP leader Afzaal Suleria said, ‘Our struggle is for united and independent Jammu and Kashmir; and we will keep on our struggle to expose oppression and human rights abuse on both sides of the LOC.
