SRINAGAR (IHK): A high-level delegation of European Union comprising ambassadors of seven countries including Sweden, Spain, France and Belgium would conduct a three-day visit of Indian occupied Kashmir from November 22, 2009 reports KMS.
The delegation, led by Ambassador of Sweden, Lars-Olof Lindgren, would meet Hurriyet leaders including the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and would discuss the latest political situation of Indian occupied Kashmir.
The members of the delegation would also get information about the peace efforts and the peaceful solution of the long-pending Kashmir dispute.
The EU delegation is expected to visit the occupied territory with a special mission and during its stay it would thoroughly monitor the situation of Jammu and Kashmir and later would submit a detailed report to the European Union.
The delegation would also meet the puppet Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and would exchange views about the present situation of occupied Kashmir.
The APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a media interview in Srinagar said, the world community has realised the urgency of resolving the Kashmir dispute and the visit of the European Union delegation is part of the efforts being taken at the international level for peaceful and amicable settlement of the Kashmir dispute.
