RAWALAKOT: Atleast three persons on Tuesday drowned when a car fell in in a Nullah at the adjacent area of Thorar in Tehsil of Rawalakot on Tuesday.
Tehsildar Thorar confirmed the incident and said that corolla car bearing registration number LX 9906 fell in Nullah which was on its way from Azad Paten to Taeen at the link road near Kashmir highway.
The driver, Sajid escaped safe by a miracle while three others Shabbir s/o Ijaz, Naeer s/o Ayub and Ateeq s/o Aziz drowned in the Nullah.
Owing to continued rain series and snowfall in Rawalakot and adjacent areas caused land sliding in many parts of the area.
The Rawalakot-Muzaffarabad highway was closed at the Sector headquarter while Ghazi Millat highway was reopened after eight hours closure.
