Professor Shawl, in a statement, urged the world leaders to recognize the importance of addressing international conflicts like Kashmir, which were endangering the regional and global peace and security. He emphasized a firm resolve to settle the dispute through an honest concerted approach of friends of peace from across the world.
Professor Shawl maintained that the G-20 could play a role in the elimination of uncertainty, turmoil and violence from the region. He said that Kashmir and Palestine were two such bleeding sores, which needed to be addressed honestly.
The Executive Director condemned the continued house arrest of the senior Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani by the occupation authorities.
