Srinagar, April 04 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik, welcoming the statement of United States President, Barrack Obama stressing immediate resolution of the Kashmir dispute has described it as highly commendable.
Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement in Srinagar said that the resolution of the Kashmir dispute was verily a dire need of time and imperative not only for peace and development of South Asia, but the whole world as well. He said that the issues that threatened the world peace should be resolved immediately through democratic and peaceful means to ensure peace and stability in the world.
“The people of Kashmir presented a unique example of peaceful mass revolution before the world in June 2008, during which 70 Kashmiri civilians were martyred. But we still carried on our struggle peacefully without letting it take a violent turn despite tremendous provocations by Indian troops and Hindu fanatics,” Malik said.
